I'm sure Liz was wondering why I was taking so many pics of typical American street scenes in the evening. They just look so different: lots more wires in the sky, billboards, and the street itself is twice as wide as any high street in England.

I'd also realised it was midnight back there. Weird... even though you fully understand the time difference, some part of you still thinks "whoa"... if you're American that is... if you're English you think "oo blimey".
