Taken at 'Montes de la Luna', or 'Face of the Moon', this picture could be a closeup of the lunar surface. The dust sparkled here and elsewhere on the island, tiny quartz crystals catching the sun. You could get the same effect mixing glitter and sand maybe, but 'could' is probably be the operative word.
