Believe it or not I didn't get soaked. Cars parked along here do get coated with salt however. Some waves make it clear across the street during storms, a distance of some hundred feet. Even under calm conditions, the hotel regularly shook with the impact, the waves booming and splattering across the road. I hope that was what it was, anyway.
