In March '03 the Wirral was enveloped in a thick fog; visibility in places was only 3 metres.
This picture [top], was taken deliberately without the flash, as the fog particles would have scattered the flash light back at the camera.
Then I thought "what the hell" and took one with the flash anyway, just to see the effect [bottom].
Digital cameras are great - you can afford to experiment.
