Still above the clouds but descending into the Earth's shadow towards Manchester. The sun has set where the plane is, but a few km above some high clouds are still catching the last glimpse of sunlight. The dark purple band at the horizon is the twilight wedge, the shadow of the Earth cast on the distant atmosphere. The pink band just above it is known nicely as the Belt of Venus.
